WHY DO SOME CATS BITE BLANKETS?

Uncategorised

This is my cat Ollie, when we got him in 2014 he was a bit bitey but now he is getting much better, my average nighttime sleep is, I’ll get to sleep and fall into a very deep sleep,………….THEN!!!! Ollie will jump onto my bed, I will wake up in fright my heart beating from the cat who had just jumped onto me, from now he will walk around my leg, until he falls asleep, at this point, I can get to sleep.

Now I am asleep, and he starts to bite the cover, to find out the main reason for this I did a test, I thought it might be he thinks it is an animal, to find this out I slept one night with a fluffy blanket and another night with a normal cover/blanket, for both nights the cat slept on me on the first night he bit the fluffy one, on the second night he bit the normal cover/blanket, on the first night he bit it as if he was ripping the skin of an animals to eat it, on the second night he bit it as if to just move it to a position that was more blanket comfortable for him. Now we knew the answer to the question I didn’t need to do another test, the answer was that a cat will either bite it to kill it or to move.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, if you have a cat or not comment if you like cats and if you have a cat comment if it does the same stuff as Ollie,

Hope you learnt something new,

Bye!!!
